Recommended Equipment

The key to a successful hunt is proper preparation and equipment.
All the gear you need for a safe and successful hunting trip is right here, from weatherproof clothing to the necessary travel documents.
Clothing
For hunting, we recommend 2–3 sets of breathable hunting clothing in green, beige, or olive, which is as quiet as possible. A light jacket for the cool morning and evening hours is also useful. This includes sturdy, well-worn footwear. A hat or cap with neck protection protects against the sun, while gloves – and, depending on the season, a scarf (especially from July to August) – can also be useful.
Personal equipment
Personal protection includes sunscreen with high UV protection (50+), insect repellent such as Anti-Brumm, and a personalized first-aid kit or personal medication. Binoculars with at least 8x30 magnification or higher are suitable for hunting. A headlamp or flashlight with spare batteries and a power bank or adapter (for the South African plug type M) are also recommended.
Documents and travel documents
You must bring a passport that is valid for at least six months, as well as airline tickets and booking confirmations. If you are bringing your own weapon, you will need a letter of invitation from us and other documents. No special vaccinations are required for South Africa. An effective rabies vaccination is advisable. It is also advisable to carry copies of all important documents, both digitally and in print. Note for families: Extended children's passports are not accepted. Please travel only with a valid biometric passport, otherwise entry may be refused.

A maximum of 40 cartridges is recommended for hunting. Please note that a gun license and an import permit are required – we will be happy to assist you with the application process. Alternatively, it is also possible to rent weapons on site; this includes sighting in.
